What to expect

The panel

30 to 45 minutes with legislators carrying these bills: why they took them on, what they have faced, and what’s possible next year.

Breakouts

Small-group conversations about what a bill like this could look like in your state.

Legal Q&A

Attorneys on hand to answer legal and constitutional questions.

Lawmakers in several states are carrying bills that protect every student’s right to practice, or not practice, religion at school. These bills go by a few names, including the PLURAL Act, the KPOP Act and the GRACE Act.

Each one fits its own state, but they share one goal: clear rules for schools, families and educators at a time when the law keeps shifting.

Join legislators who are carrying these bills for a conversation about why they took them on, what challenges they have faced, and what they see as possible in the year ahead. The panel will run 30 to 45 minutes, followed by small-group breakouts where you can talk through what a bill like this could look like in your state. Attorneys will be on hand to answer legal and constitutional questions.

This event is open to state legislators and legislative staff. You do not need a bill in the works to join. Whether you are curious, thinking it over or ready to move, there is a place for you here.

We will not publish the list of registrants. We may share your contact information with the partner organization working in your state so they can follow up with resources.
