Demand Congress Support the Women's Health Protection Act!
Abortion champions in Congress have reintroduced the Women’s Health Protection Act (WHPA). When passed, this important bill will finally codify the abortion rights promised by Roe v. Wade nearly 50 years ago. Since the fall of Roe, states have weaponized religion to control Americans’ access to basic and safe health care.
WHPA is beautifully basic: it guarantees the right of a patient to access an abortion and the right of an abortion provider to deliver that care.
Access to abortion care everywhere is vital to social and economic equality and reproductive autonomy, and a key component to self-determination. In the past, this bill made great strides. Let’s keep up momentum for the bill by telling Congress loud and clear: restore abortion and reproductive freedom!

The protection that Roe provided was only the floor - not the ceiling. Since the Supreme Court overturned Roe in 2022, millions have not been able to access abortion care in their home state. We know that any law, anywhere, that restricts the rights of patients or doctors to receive or provide abortions is a threat to this care everywhere and absolutely unacceptable. Since states refuse to protect this essential right and instead bar people from making their own decisions about their bodies, families and futures, we need Congress to pass WHPA.
